Don’t let the ominous headline fool you–though we will have some stark and vital choices to make this week, we are just leading up to the big changes of November. During that month we will see reality slip and morph and re-shape and orient itself to a new gravitational field, of sorts (I’m speaking figuratively, of course–the emblem for all this is the Uranus/ Saturn opposition)–but this week we will get a taste of that, and be presented with a few challenges that reach to the deepest levels.

The Libra Sun is again a big player this week. We enter the period on the energy of the Sun/ Uranus quincunx, likely questioning our individuality urges, or uniqueness (and those ideas springing from it), and our relationship to groups, tech, and modern ‘movements.’ This is all necessary rumination, not really requiring any action at this point.

The 13th sees a Sun/ Neptune trine–bask in it, as we have (for once!) a clear view of what may be imposing illusion or deception, and as well we see imaginative solutions and receive a good dose of inspiration–despite the Merc retrograde, we’ll enjoy a moment or two of clarity.

The 14th we have a Full Moon at 1:04 PM PDT at 21 Aries 51, offering ends in the natal House where this occurs, and on the Full Moon’s heels comes the direction of Mercury, at 1:01 PM PDT on the 15th. This offers a pair of days where much may dawn on us, fully formed, with Mercury making an immediate semi-sextile to Mars, perfecting as Merc turns direct. We may feel like a rocket has been lit beneath our ideas; but a couple of upcoming aspects say Wait.

The ongoing trine between Jupiter and Saturn, though widening, suggests a bit of a pull between expansion and contraction of material situations (Earth placements), and so makes it almost impossible to read between the two which is the correct alternative (exception a major aspect contact to a natal planet–a soft aspect says, favor this one, while a hard aspect says, don’t move).

The North Node’s quincunx to Saturn says that adjustments must be made at this point to maintain stability, but that doesn’t imply that all out change, or major expansion, is the way to go. Take it slow, moderate responses and steps forward; with the semi-sextile of Venus to Pluto (Friday, the 17th) we’ll get a glimpse into the depths of do or die issues–this is just a sample of what’s to come when Venus and Pluto conjunct (12 November). Taste it for the quality and quantity of both reward/ resources and inevitable change to these–it’s an amuse bouche where the information obtained will be exceptionally valuable.

By the end of the week the Sun is within sextile of Pluto, and we get a ‘reality check’ of the first order. The continuing Chiron/ North Node conjunction is a focus for many, though we’re likely unaware of the actual workings of these two within the life. Consciousness is the vital difference; those who make choices from the primal wound will be separated from those who choose based on skills and understanding (Chiron in Aquarius). Try your darnedest to be in the latter group.

On the 18th we may see a significant break in the credit freeze, as Venus enters Sagittarius. On this same day Juno moves to within conjunction distance of Pluto, and the T Moon conjuncts Pallas, opposed Juno/ Pluto; we also have Earth in a Grand Trine with Ceres and Juno. We may see powerful individuals attempt to manipulate policies, the market, and/ or the media on their own, against what would be a wiser emotional course, but the Grand Trine suggests that perhaps Mother Nature may take all the attention away from man’s financial follies, with a concurrent power and influence shift to a different set of individuals. Time will tell!
